What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, WhatsApp number and a securely hashed password.
- What you check: the quote or bill you upload (photos or PDF) or the lines you type in, your city, and any note you add.
- What you use: product scans, shopping lists, estimates, house budgets, questions you ask the AI auditor, feedback and recommendations you submit.
- Usage: anonymous page-view and performance statistics through Vercel Analytics, which doesn't use cookies. A login cookie keeps you signed in, and your light/dark choice is saved in your browser.
How we use it
- To read your quote and produce your report, answer your questions and show your history.
- To contact you on WhatsApp about a quote you uploaded.
- To improve our rates: prices from quotes, bills and scans may be used without names to show typical prices in your city.
- We don't sell your personal data.
AI processing
Your uploads and questions are sent to an AI service — Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude — to read the document and write answers. Please cover bank account numbers, ID numbers and other sensitive details before uploading.
Who can see it
- You, when signed in, and anyone you send your report link to. Report links are long and unguessable, and hidden from search engines.
- GenuineRate reviewers, to check and correct reports.
- Contractor and shop names from your quotes are never published.
- Recommendations you submit (a business name, address and your reason) are shown on the shop finder after review — your name isn't.
Where it's stored
Our database and files are hosted with Supabase, and the website runs on Vercel. We keep your data while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete your data, reply to any message from GenuineRate. We'll delete your account, quotes and files; prices already used without names in city averages can't be separated out.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app. See also our terms of use.
